ONE Day Against Hate

Religious Website Supports NYC Plans to Promote

Tolerance and Understanding

New York, NY---November 27, 2007---When The City Council for the City of New York declared Thursday, November 29th, 2007 as its citywide Day Against Hate, K&K Publishing and Media, LLC saw a way to support this important event by creating an open forum on its website to allow internet users to read and discuss an article against religious hatred.

As publishers of ONE: The Digital Dialog (www.onedialog.com), a website that offers a side-by-side discussion of the three major Western religions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam – the K&K management team knew that this one-day event could serve as an opportunity to help foster change.

K&K Publishing and Media, LLC will offer a free 24-hour interactive forum dedicated exclusively to having their religious experts answer questions about religion on ONE: The Digital Dialog website's home page (www.onedialog.com) for the Day Against Hate.

The live forum will begin at midnight on November 28th. Anyone can go to the site to participate in an open and honest discussion about Judaism, Christianity or Islam, or make a comment about an experience they have had. According to K&K, the goal of the forum is to provide a safe environment for people to communicate and share their thoughts, fears, and hopes in an effort to develop a greater understanding.

Believing that the catalyst for some of the hate crimes and problems in the city today is derived from a lack of knowledge of the customs of other religions, K&K hopes that the forum and ONE: The Digital Dialog website in general, will help people gain greater insight into the lifestyles of people from other faiths.

"In a City where nearly all of the world's faiths and cultures are represented, it's amazing to see just how much intolerance and hate still exists," says Francine Kane of K&K Publishing and Media, LLC. "Maybe this one-day event will make people pause and think about how alike we all are, despite our differences."

One God, One Purpose, One Web Site

By: Vanessa Wakeman (PRWEB) Wednesday, Oct 31 2007, 3:23am K&K Publishing & Media, LLC launches One: The Digital Dialog

K&K Publishing & Media, LLC -- an innovative, multi-media communications company -- announced today the launch of its new subscription-based Web site, One: The Digital Dialog. The mission of One: The Digital Dialog is to build a sense of community, and understanding among the many people who are curious and interested in developing a deeper awareness and appreciation of the three major Western religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

"There is a common misconception among Jews, Christians, and Muslims that their faiths are profoundly different when in fact they have so much heritage and so many beliefs in common," says Francine Kane, Co-Founder of K&K Publishing & Media, LLC. "We believe that highlighting the similarities and explaining the differences by teaching - not preaching - religious themes to subscribers will enable greater insight and appreciation of the three Western faiths."

The content of One: The Digital Dialog is based on the Bible, the Torah, and the Qur'an. Members can gain insight into each faith's view of a compelling subject presented in the biweekly feature called the Dialog. There, quotes from the texts of each faith together with ancient and modern commentaries are presented in a side-by-side format. In addition, an online glossary explains unfamiliar terms, and a forum allows members to discuss the information provided and shared on the site in a protected environment. The ease of use and vast amount of information in ONE: The Digital Dialog means that anyone, anywhere, anytime can enjoy and participate in an online global community. The format of ONE: The Digital Dialog enables readers to pick and choose areas of particular interest and determine how deeply they wish to delve into particular subjects.

In 2008, a quarterly print magazine component - Digital Dialog Magazine - will complement and expand upon the content of the dialogs.

"One: The Digital Dialog will encourage people to focus on what we all share, and inspire readers to connect or reconnect with their own faith as well as gain understanding into other faiths," says Kane.

"Based on the feedback we've received from the site's first charter subscribers, we are excited to hear that this is already beginning to happen!"

Annual charter subscriptions are available for $45.00. For more information, visit www.onedialog.com.
